Lines: 20 Hello all! I posted this same request about two weeks ago, but the same day I posted, we had news feed problems, so I'm afraid it didn't make it through. Anyway... I downloaded dist.fs, fixit.fs, and the FAQ. Neither dist.fs nor fixit.fs boots on my machine. The drive just spins but never does anything. I saw something in the FAQ about this problem, but it never stated a clear answer. Anyone have any ideas for a fledgling bsd'er? Incidentally, my computer is pretty much standard: i486DX/33, Maxtor HD, no local bus, ISA (it's a packaged Gateway 2000 configuration). Thanks very much! -- Ross Hayden | haydedr@wkuvx1.bitnet | "What you see is all you get." Computer Science Department | -- Brian Kernighan Western Kentucky University |
