I am running NetBSD with no patches applied. I have the syscons driver loaded with 12
screens defined. This works fine. I came home one night from work and found the hard
disk light was staying lit (from the controller card), the screen would accept and echo
characters and I could switch console windows, but nothing was running--I would get
no response to anything typed. The shell wouldn't even come back with a prompt.

I have an IDE NEC 100mb drive which is brand new. I leave my system on 24 hours a day.
Is this a known bug? I did a hard reset and it came back up fine. Please email any
information you think might be helpful to me.
