Hey, I got more info on my lpt/lpa problem. Whenever the cable is in,
the lpt0 and lpa0 messages don't appear at bootup. But, if I unplug
the printer cable, they show up during the boot process. I can't figure out
why this might be; does anyone else know? I have an HP LJ II as my printer,
and it works fine under DOS/Windows. Any information would be appreciated.
Note: even if the printer is off, as long as the cable is in both the 'puter
and the printer, lpt0 will not be acknowledged. I haven't tried unplugging
it from the printer, as that seems kind of silly, since I can just turn
the printer off. It may not be (silly).
Thanks n' advance
