Message-ID: <22200@durer.cme.nist.gov> Date: 6 Jul 93 17:08:33 GMT Sender: news@cme.nist.gov Lines: 20 Nntp-Posting-Host: sst170.ncsl.nist.gov X-Newsreader: TIN [version 1.1 PL7] I'm trying to install the base08 distribution using NFS from a SUN and I get to the point (shown below) in the extraction when I get a kernel panic. It looks like the extraction process is trying to overlay running executables (like the shell). Has anyone seen this problem and is there a fix...? /bin/ln /bin/sh trap type 12 code = 2 eip = fe000815 cs = 8 eflags = 10686 cr2 fe7beffc cpl 200 panic: trap updating disks before rebooting... failed! -- ============================================================================= Richard D.
