NFS over udp runs, to put it bluntly, like a dog. NFS/tcp is not effected. NFS over the loopback is fine. The problem manifests on all 0.1 regardless of patch-kit. I suspect something bizarre in the ne driver. HOWEVER, a third box seems to run fine. All are configured identically, and are from the same manufacturer! [] >>I can FTP large files from one machine to another, and telnet from one >>machine to another. Ping reports no problems, so I assume it is just NFS. I can say that TCP performance is not affected, but I have cannot confirm the problem is with NFS alone, or generic to UDP. >>Is there a patch? Is anyone working on this? I suspect the driver, but the fact that I have one box that works OK is a tad bizarre. Most significant difference is that the machine that works is on a low-traffic dedicated network with less than 15 hosts, the others machines are on a very high traffic net.
