I've never heard of any such arrangement.  I believe that
USL/AT&T/Novell is required to credit the University of
California for the 4BSD software that they ship, and I don't
think that they do.

My favorite is the System V ABI that includes a member of the
CSRG's birthday (as a file system magic number), but fails to
mention the University of California in any way.
