Message-ID: <sherryC9z5xD.3Aq@netcom.com> Keywords: wd1a second.drive Organization: NETCOM On-line Communication Services (408 241-9760 guest) Date: Sun, 11 Jul 1993 00:41:36 GMT Lines: 32 HELP, I am having trouble getting my second drive up on386bsd-0.1. I have made a disktab entry which looks right to me, and I have tried to install it with the command: disklabel -w -r wd1a max245at newfs /dwv/wd1a max245at and that works fine. I can mount it, put stuff on it, but when I reboot, I can't seem to read the label anymore? When I reboot and try to run fsck: fsck -p /dev/rwd1a I get: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY If i run it manually, I get: can't open /dev/wd1a: invalid argument Shortly thereafter, I get the message: 386bsd: wd1: cannot find label (bad sector table corrupted) If I read the disklabel, it looks ok to me. I got "fixed" files for /usr/mdec, and that didn't help. What am I doing wrong? Bruce
