Newsgroups: comp.os.386bsd.questions Subject: Problems installing XFree86-1.3 Date: 13 Jul 1993 21:36:55 GMT Organization: University of Mississippi, Dept. of Computer Science Lines: 64 Distribution: world Message-ID: <21v9tn$3it@Tut.MsState.Edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: cy.cs.olemiss.edu I'm trying to install xFree86-1.3 on my machine (386bsd0.1 + pk2.4). I'm using the pccons driver 0.1. When i try running the x386install script that comes along with the XFree86 distribution, it gives me the following message and then terminates: /dev/com1 is configured correctly. /dev/com2 is configured correctly. Your kernel has the 0.1 pccons console driver, so we'll check /etc/ttys The machine is currently running XFree86-1.2 without any major problems. I'm appending the /etc/ttys file below in case its a problem with it. Any advice at all will be greatly appreciated.
