My point is that the general public (those that use bookstores, anyway) sees books on a whole bunch of different products (some involving USL licenses, some not), all filed under the general category of "Unix", with no trademark symbol in evidence. At least one extremely popular (and often referenced) "Unix" book carries no external declaration of trademark status.
