That's exactly what I've done here on cleese, and I've never had an xdm lockup: From /etc/ttys: vga "/usr/X386/bin/xdm -nodaemon" pc3 on secure - mark -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- I tried an internal modem, newton@cleese.apana.org.au but it hurt when I walked.
