There is also the massive performance difference between the tapes
that connect to the floppy controller, like I have at home :-(,
vs. a SCSI tape drive like I have at work :-).  The difference is
whether you're going to use a few minutes doing the backup or several
hours.  I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy a 300+MB disk without
some kind of backup though, it is just not practical to back up that
size of disk to floppies.
