Hi !
I compiled xv-2.1 with gcc-1.39. I get into problems with malloc,
I says Can't allocate memory for 'some routine name' .
After this I get a core dump sometimes.
With 3.00 and gcc 2.4.5 the problem remains although the exit is
nicer. I have PK 2.3.4, 16MB RAM, >30MB Swap, 386/387 CPU.
This works on a Sparc OK. Yes, and I know about 'limit'.
I did limit -h or limit memoryuse unlimited. This is only
a little help.
By the way, did someone go around 'virtual memory exhausted'
when compiling the fax stuff ?
Thankfull for all hints !
   Heiner
