I am compiling a list of software known to run under 386bsd. Even though I can go to the major archive sites and get a semi-complete list of working software, I don't have much idea what a good percentage of them are, and don't want to end up downloading them all. (I also don't have a 386bsd machine right now, so I can't test any of them out.) Thus, I ask that you take a little bit of time and fill out this form, and mail it to me by replying to this post. (If you can't PLEASE at least put this messages subject string in yours---I'm going to have a script sorting this mail out from mine so that I don't get killed with it all) PLEASE, even if you think that EVERYBODY is sending in a form for a piece of software you have, send it in anyhow. You might want to leave out two or three of the MAJOR pieces of software such as gcc, and emacs, but if you're not sure, send it. If a package doesn't need to be ported (ie, it has configuration options that support 386|netbsd), please mention this package and what options you required to get it working. Basically, softare to skip is anything that ships with 386bsd or netbsd. If there are later versions of these available however, send 'em along. Package Name: Version: Description: {What it is, does, etc...} Where to get ported version: Operating system: (Please mention any patch kits applied) Status: (WOrking well, kinda loads, kinda compiles, ...) Special Requirements: Special Information/Problems: You Are: This list will become a part of the continuing FAQ effort, and will be posted regularily. Your effort would be greatly appreciated.
