Hello line printer experts,

I am trying to connect a HP Laserjet 4 to a PC running NetBSD via a serial
port. I found nothing in FAQ (only heading "Printers" ??!) so I would
like to hear if someone has a working printcap for this configuration.
My own efforts in constructing one currently look like this:

lp|local line printer:\
        :lp=/dev/com1:sd=/var/spool/lpd:\
        :lf=/dev/console:\
        :br#19200:sh:\
        :fs#0300:

But this is (of course?) not working.
I would prefer to use at least 19200 bps (I think this is also the maximum
speed the printer can handle) and be able to spool untranslated binary data
to the printer (network printer for a PC net).
It would also be nice to see a config for the parallel port but I still
need a parallel device compiled in my kernel... (tips for this also welcome!)

Thanks in advance,

                                        lunde
