What I would like to do is probably standard but I could not
figure it out. I need to write a mail filter based on
From: and Subject:, those which match I would like to
route to another address, those that don't, I'd leave it alone.

Please tell me how I need to set that up. If you pipe it to
a program via .forward; it traps all. How do I do this
selectively?
