DES is exportable from all of the above and from the US, but in all cases a license from the appropriate government IS required. The difficulty in obtaining such a license and the broadness of the license varies somewhat from country to country. Consult legal counsel in your jurisdiction for details. Mr. Ohta probably should talk to appropriate Japanese legal counsel before shipping the DES outside Japan lest he encounter legal problems... DISCLAIMER: The author speaks only for himself.
