I've just tried to use a maxtor xt4170e as wd1a with a NetBSD system, and it
has some bad sectors on it, (bad cluster as well I think) can anyone inform
me how to use the BAD144 table so that the kernal will avoid using the
sectors that are'nt civilised enough. Seriously, any help with the bad
sector problem will be gratefully accepted.

I have a 48Mb .TAR file with the previous NetBSD sources and stuff in it
that I tried to restore, but kept coming up against bad sectors, and stuff
