Subject: remove a dir link loop?

Hi All,

For the reasons we haven't know yet, on our BSD 4.3 system, the
/scratch was pointed to /scratch/DOS, so a link loop is created.
When I used 'file /scratch/DOS', the system shows " append-only
directory", the /scratch/DOS is a dir and not a symbolic link.

Is there anyway we can remove the DOS under /scratch without losing
the files under the /scratch?

Any help would be appreciated, please e-mail to paul@sci.ccny.cuny.edu
for response.

Thanks in advance.

Paul
