I think this may be at the heart of my recent (failed) attempt to
install NetBSD. Can a kind person tell me:

  1) What is the proper procedure for telling NetBSD not to overwrite
the partition table? (I assume it's when it asks "Overwrite DOS
partition table", but I like being paranoid. :-) )

  2) Which Maxtor drives do sector translation, and how does one turn
it off and/or get NetBSD to work correctly with it on? (I believe
mine's a 7245, but I don't have it here.)

  3) I had a lot of trouble getting the partition table back the way
it was, and I'm still not sure what I did. Any hints?

Telling me to RTFM/RTFD/RTFFAQ is acceptable if you tell me where to
find the M/D/FAQ. Thanks!
