A quick query:

I am in the process of purchasing a SCSI adaptor for a machine and was
looking for an Adaptec 1542B (since I have had good experiences with this
in the past and drivers exists for most OSs - including 386BSD and Linux).

Now it seems that all I can get now is the new 1542C. What I would like
to know is (i) does 386BSD support this? (ii) is it compatible in any mode
with the 1542B (such that 1542B drivers will work with it)?

Please reply by E-Mail since we don't get a newsfeed here :-( I will
summarise to individuals/the net.

Cheers,

James
