Hovemeyer) Subject: NetBSD 0.8: is there a bug in newfs or mkfs? Message-ID: <1993Jul29.180157.27777@newstand.syr.edu> Keywords: NetBSD newfs mkfs bug Organization: Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY Date: Thu, 29 Jul 93 18:01:56 EDT Lines: 21 When I run newfs on any partition of my disklabeled IDE drive, my machine crashes. I would like to find out if this is a known bug, and what I can do to fix it. *Any* information would be helpful: If... 1. You have disklabeled, newfs'd, fsck'd, and mounted a second IDE hard drive successfully 2. You experienced a similar problem with newfs 3. You can point me to a current summary of bugs in {Net,386}BSD please let me know. Thanks, Dave -- dhhoveme@rodan.acs.syr.edu
