I have tried all the standard methods, using routed, and I can't seem to get it to work yet. So, before I attack my terminal server on the other end of the SLIP connection to be sure it isn't preventing me from doing this, I wanted to make sure my kernel had IP forwarding on by default. I could not find anything in the man pages other then a mention of gated (which we don't have, just routed). And, at the moment, my kernal source is on a drive that doesn't spin, so I can't check myself (or re-compile the kernel for that matter). However, on a Sun, you can flip IP forwarding on and off with adb in addition to re-compiling, so.... My point is, is IP forwarding on in my kernal if I am using the GENERIC (or close to it) kernel? If so, great, if not, can I turn it on with gdb or do I have to re-compile? Thanks, Dave -- nerenbrg@ranger.rtsg.mot.com David Nerenberg 73107,177 CompuServe ITS Motorola Cellular W-708-632-6038
