FOR BIND Date: 6 Aug 1993 10:19:42 -0600 Organization: University of New Mexico, Albuquerque Lines: 32 Message-ID: <23u0au$mm0@hydra.unm.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: hydra.unm.edu Hello: I am collecting some information to serve us as an alternative for the situation described below. I appreciate if you take a few minutes to read this. I will post s summary in about 2-3 weeks. Our Environment: We manipulate flat IP files manually (vi) and then they're fed to perl scripts to make them digestible for BIND. What we would like to have is a tool that basically does two things: 1)provide a user interface for manipulating flat IP table files and 2)does the "massage" of data to make it ready to be consumed by BIND. At this point, we would like to write a in-house software for it but we would like to make sure that all other alternatives are examined. If you know of such tool/software that allows us to do this type of IP-file-management, please let me know. If you use BIND, and you're in a big organization, how do you tackle this problem? Thanks , Farid Hamjavar hamjavar@carina.unm.edu UNM-CIRT
