If the machine is new and still under warranty, report that you are getting NMI errors (NMI can pop up under MS-DOG as well so tech support might even believe you) and be assertive in expressing that you *expect* them to replace your shoddy memory with some real stuff. I had the same problem. Through swapping simms I was able to spot one clear offender which was replaced. However, I still got NMI errors periodically. I got complained and got all the simms replaced (free of charge) and everything has worked perfectly since. With good memory, most if not all of your bizarre problems (many of which I experienced as well) will go away. -john -- === jfieber@sophia.smith.edu ================================================ === 42 19 30 N 72 38 30 W ========== Come up and be a kite! --K.
