Since this question almost always _does_ start a flamewar I have started work (about a week ago) on a document that will hopefully prevent it being asked, by already answering it :-). I therefore need to know what all the conceivable differences are between Linux and 386BSD/NetBSD. Could anyone with any opinions on the subject please *mail* me. That's right, *email*. DON'T POST PLEASE. The 386BSD groups may be fairly empty, but in the most recent listings comp.os.linux (shortly to be split) was the highest-volume non-binaries group on Usenet (comp.sys.sgi.misc beat c.o.l but is full of uuencoded tarfiles). I won't argue with you over matters of opinion, though I will try to check out your facts. Anything that is a genuine difference relevant to the choice of which to run will be paraphrased and included. I shall report back when I have something more concrete that I want wider comment on.
