Eunice is a reasonably well thought out Unix emulator for VAX/VMS. I use it to compile Unix source to produce VMS executables, and most BSD programs compile will little or no trouble. crypt() is about the most major ommision from it's C library. Being an emulator, Eunice doesn't use a passwd file for loging in. --
