No special tweaks or mods needed. Gdb-4.8 worked just fine, too. Which *BSD are you using, anyways? Are you by any chance using the shared-libs by Pete Chown? I did experience some trouble running 4.9 when lunk with those libs (one of the few problems I have had with them, btw). I'm running 386bsd-0.1 + 0.2.4. -Shawn Carey
