Many thanks to those who posted or mailed me replies, especially Pete French. 
Sorry I can't reply by mail, but I'm not authorised to send external-email. 
(They only let me receive email because it would cost too much to bounce it 
back again!)   Well, the problem is solved, and I think Dominion is working
ok... (see previous posting)
