Subject: translated disk geometry for scsi hard disk

I am about to install 386bsd on part of 1Gigabyte scsi Toshiba hard disk,
which has more than 1024 cylinders.
It's my understanding that IDE hard disk needs
to be configured with untranslated disk geometry, since the wd driver software
goes to IDE controller and ask for this info directly instead of believing in
CMOS numbers.
Is it the same problem with scsi hard disk ? Do I have to
use untranslated disk geometry numbers ? This would force me to truncate my
cylinder number to 1024 ? Please help.

Also, has anyone been able to have DOS, 386bsd and Window NT co-exist
within one hard disk, and boot them using OS-BS, or some other boot program ?
