Date: 22 Aug 1993 22:23:10 GMT Organization: University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee Lines: 48 Distribution: world Message-ID: <258rkeINNj8a@uwm.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: 129.89.7.4 Hi, there, 386bsd folks! I have a leetle problem I hope you might be able to help me with. When I installed XFree86-1.3 and tried to get it to run, I got an error back that said there was no kernel support (i.e. there's no server in my kernel as my friend built it originally), so I got GENERICISA from agate.berkeley.edu in /pub/386BSD/386bsd-0.1/unofficial/patch-kit/binary/kernel and it didn't work at all -- probably because the irq's on my machine don't match what's in GENERICISA. I'd like to use the patch kit that comes with XFree86-1.3, but there's nowhere I've run across yet that has precise step-by-step instructions on how to use the thing... "Modify the appropriate files in the appropriate directories" doesn't do anything to help my situation, this being the gist of what README says. HELP! In advance, for your kind assistance, Muchas gracias. Toda raba. Merci beaucoup. Danke sehr. Xie4 xie4. Shuqran. Dzie, ki. Domo. Molto grazie. Ochen' spasibo. Baie Dankie. Ngyabonga. Tusen takk.
