Ok; this seems to come up a lot and I usually respond via email but
I'm getting tired of this...

I have a mostly working 3c509 driver that I've been working on for
far too long... There's a couple of problems with it that I've addressed
in my mind mostly.. However; I have several things I have to do before
I can go back to working on it (mostly Windsurfing, waterskiing, suntanning,
climbing, and drinking)...

I have yet to look at the recently announced Linux 3c509 driver but
plan to do that to see if it can address any of the problems that I'm
having...

I always offer to give out my existing code on the off chance that someone
has more energy and time than I do to get it working... But invariably
I end up getting requests to photocopy and mail my documentation which
is something I'm tiring of doing...

So; to everyone who's waiting for a 3c509 driver; I say "keep waiting;
it'll happen someday"...

<maybe this should go in the FAQ? :-)>
