Actually, I am more interested than the FAQ is, but I will put the Q/A
in there anyway...

I am suddenly the proud owner of a 386/40 with 256k of on-board cache.
With the cache enabled, I get nothing.  No boot, nothing.  

With the cache off, the system boots, until my crazy EGA card loses its
mind and I end up with black-on-black.

Would someone care to explain what the problem with caches are?  They
have caused me a considerable amount of problems.  Everything from the
one above, to the place at work where my file system gets corrupted.
Cache seems to be an endless source of problems, but I don't understand
why.
