Message-ID: <1993Aug31.182541.15945@kth.se> Sender: usenet@kth.se Nntp-Posting-Host: moldau.nada.kth.se Organization: Royal Institute of Technology, NADA Date: Tue, 31 Aug 1993 18:25:41 GMT Lines: 13 Dear net, Compiling kermit 5A-(182) went without problems using bsd44 as target. The problem I have is installing it. To be able to access tty0* it needs to be suid uucp; but suid uucp it cannot access /dev/tty and therefore the terminal gets confused. Everything works ok with tty0* made writable by everyone but it shouldn't be like that should it? I tried setting sguid and using the group dialer but kermit would not able to access tty0* anyway. Is sguid just for directories? Thank you for your time, -- /Johan W}hlin (.. where the } really is an a with a ring above it.. 8))
