I'm trying to get SLIP up and running on my machine at home. I'm
running NetBSD 0.9. I do the following:
1. connect to the SLIP server using tip. [SLIP server responds
"Entering Packet Mode"]
2. suspend tip
3. slattach -a -s 38400 /dev/tty01
4. ifconfig sl0 my_host other_host
5. route add default other_host
When I ping the other_host, I see the modem SEND light blink. But I
never receive anything back from the other side.
Any help would be appreciated.. Pointers to references would be
greatly appreciated also. [Am I missing a NetBSD faq somewhere?]
[Also... what's a good partition editor for MS-DOS that will work
well with the NetBSD installation?]
Thanks
