I'm having some problems building a kernel for netbsd-09. I suspect
that there is something wrong with the board that I'm using (its from
Hyundia -- if anyone has had luck or problems with these please let me
know). I have a question about the AHA kernel that comes on the kernel
copy disk:

If I build a kernel using the GENERICAHA config file (stock - no
mods), should I get EXACTLY the same kernel that was installed on my
system? I used the kc-*aha* kernel copy disk. Assuming of course that
I use the stock tools that come with netbsd-09.

The problem that I have is this: when I use the stock kernel swapinfo gives
some useful information. When I use a kernel that I built, swapinfo freaks
out, its right after some system call (I don't remember the exact message).

If I do have a problem with my board could some one give me some pointers on
where to look? Its a 486dx2 with on board ide and serial and super vga
controllers. BTW, I tried disabling both the internal and external cache
and it made no diff. Any suggestions on the kind of problems that I should
consider?

Hmm. It just occured to me that it might be something simple. I name
the new kernel /netbsd_test . And I enter that when the system asks me
what kernel to boot. Would this cause and problems? I hope /netbsd is not
hard coded into anything.

Thanks for any info.
