I had spurious problems trying to use the ftp on the boot disk to pull files
over for extract... all of the form that extract complained about corrupt 
files.  I also couldn't get the tip/rz combo to talk to the sz on my hp-ux
box... when I finally "gave up" and cut a set of floppies, and used loadfd,
behold all worked as expected...
