On both it gets just past the first ``insert disk ...'' prompt, issues an ``entry point ...'' message then hangs. The system configuration is: 386 40mHz w/64KB Cache and 4MB of RAM SiS chipset w/AMI BIOS Two IDE drives An AHA-1542B with 44MB Rodime disk drive and Wangtek 5150ES tape drive STB Powergraph super VGA adapter with Monochrom VGA display 5.25 and 3.5 diskette drives (A & B, respectively) This same machine happily runs 386bsd 0.1 (PL 0.2.4). I am wanting to upgrade my other systems to either FreeBSD or NetBSD but am reluctant to attempt it till I can first get one or the other of them running on my test system. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. -- Bob Willcox ...!{rutgers|ames}!cs.utexas.edu!uudell!obiwan!bob Phone: 512 258-4224 (home) 512 838-3914 (work)
