Greetings,

I'm currently working on a proposal for a project which would include
a port of netbsd or linux to a distributed machine based on R4000 and
Alpha processors. I would be grateful if anyone who has undertaken
such a port could tell me:

1) How long did the port take and how many people worked on it?

2) What was the target platform?

3) Was the goal an experimental OS, or an industrial-strength product?
(Are there any users who had nothing to do with the port?)

Please respond via email, and if there's a reasonable response, I'll
post a summary.

Thanks a lot,

Joe Newman
