I've never used one, but I don't believe it will work unless it's register compatable with the higher-end 154x series (and I don't think this is the case). Sorry! For what it's worth, all this is the case with NetBSD as well. We're both waiting on someone to donate some decent non-SCSI CDROM drivers (I don't know about 1522 support, however).
