Keywords: 386bsd, booting Message-ID: <xlbm!lg.kwan@netcom.com> Date: 19 Jul 92 08:55:00 GMT Organization: Netcom - Online Communication Services (408 241-9760 guest) Lines: 15 I'm trying out the 386bsd boot disk from gatekeeper. It boots on the very 1st time! everything works, I got the Tiny386bsd install on my hard disk, also able to boot off the hard disk. configuration: Arche Technologies 386/33 APG motherboard, Arche BIOS, Arche chip-set. 8Meg RAM, Adaptec 1542b SCSI, Arche OEM VGA (w/ ET4000), wd8003e (8-bit). The system was personally QAed by my housemate, who happened to be the QA head of Arche. The system was previously running ESIX. I have no affliation with Arche, except for admiring their work on compatibility testing, which make the system boots for the very 1st time! I'll connect the box to a Sun ethernet env. to finish up the rest of the installation. More details later. Thanks to Lynne , Bill and the rest of the folks out there... Kwan-Seng Low
