Along the same vein you can get a et4000 based card, which is a bit faster in Xterm scrolling, and only a bit more. I picked up one used for $40, and they can be had new for about $80. If you can live with mono mode either card will be pretty fast for just about everything (I'm very happy working in mono mode, but as soon as I switch to color I look forward to S3 support and buying an S3 card). alex
