Message-ID: <1992Jul19.211339.27641@fzi.de> Sender: news@fzi.de (FZI-news) Organization: Forschungszentrum Informatik, Karlsruhe, FRG Date: Sun, 19 Jul 1992 21:13:39 GMT Lines: 28 I can boot 0.1 without any problems. My Maschine is a 386/33 with fpu and a st3144 IDE drive. I want to use DOS also, so I created a partition for DOS and booted 0.1 afterwards. install did recognize the dos partition and asked me how many MBytes I want for 386BSD. install then creates the partition a, which fills the whole 386BSD partition (no swap space !!!). After the install procedure finished the kernel (booted from HD) crashed. The disklabel mentions only one partition, the a partition. Maybe the problems come from the fact, that I had 0.0 on the same disk. I erased the first physical track and the first 10 sectors of the 386BSD partition without success. Is this an install bug or what is going wrong. BTW the kernel didn't say: wd (no label) it just said wd at ... irq ...
