For example, getting access to the i/o ports, gaining access to the console, etc.., under FreeBSD and NetBSD. I re-compiled XS3 under NetBSD-0.9 and no one has been able to run XS3 because the kernel failed to grant me access to the vga's i/o ports. Just a bit in flame and frustrated over here.
