(Subquestion 1, since I haven't really found out: can you put a second
IDE controller on an ISA 486DX?)

Main question 1: Does the wd controller in *BSD support a second IDE drive?

The sales folks at CompUSA tell me (a) an IDE controller can only
handle two drives, and (b) you can put in a second controller to get
a third and fourth drive. Please don't flame CompUSA for me; I don't
really expect much expertise from them. But I may have to return
the controller and drive.

Reason for the question: Two drives, 150MB partitions on each for a
total of 300MB, just not enough to "buildworld.sh" -- I've drastically
cut out whole packages, and it still bottoms both disks.

I know, SCSI is the way to go. Perhaps I'll have to go that way,
expensive though it is. I'd like some comments -- by mail please,
since I frequently see "skipping unavailable article ....."
