I hope someone out there can help me. Emailed replies would be a little bit more appreciated, because I'm more comfortable with PINE than with TIN. :)

I'm looking for a UNIX system to learn. Have LINUX installed on my box, but am a bit overwhelmed at the sheer amount of undocumented stuff. The documentation and philosophy for the TINY386BSD boot disk seemed very appealing, so I tried to boot it up to check it out: no response. I checked the FAQ, but there's so
much info in it that I honestly don't know where to look.

(I put the boot floppy in the drive; it seems to start okay (heads seek awhile, lights flash on keyboard, but then it locks up.)

	I have this hardware config:

386-40 with 4megs ram, AMI BIOS
200MB IDE HD (Conner, I think)
		Soundblaster Pro
Taiwanese Special multi-I/O and IDE adapters
		Orchid Fahrenheit 1280/VLB. ****

I suspect the Orchid card may be the problem. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!
