I recompiled the kernel, every thing worked great. Thanks to all the
persons involved in this project.

     One proble is that no mater how I changed the timezone definition in
the config file (as SUMNER), the date command gave me the same time which
was not the east time. (two hours later of east time. say if the
east time is 21:0:0, then the date gives me 19:0:0 with PDT 'NOT' EDT),
any one has clues?
