That editing job was done by me, and me only, in my shoes as moderator of comp.os.386bsd.announce. it was in response to Andrew Moore's use of "BSD" rather than FreeBSD. using BSD alone is obviously not correct, and as an editor, i can't ethically modify his post without noting my modifications. If people are going to post things to .announce which are too vague, i'll feel free to clarify them as appropriate, if i know what's going on. If i can't do that (or the authors request that i don't), i'll reject the articles. In this case, i did the editing and got the article out the door, because Andrew indicated that the article was of a somewhat time-critical nature. chris -- chris g. demetriou cgd@cs.berkeley.edu smarter than your average clam. -- Please send submissions for comp.os.386bsd.announce to: 386bsd-announce@agate.berkeley.edu
