I've been struggling to get it to work on my 0.9 system with >no luck and I've checked over and over that I'm running a kernel with X >support compiled in. >-- I am sort of working on it part-time, and still does not work. Part of the problem is that I don't run netbsd-0.9;however, I do have access to a netbsd-0.9 machine and it has a complete mit tree along with all the code for XS3. On the FreeBSD side of things, I have received reports that aside from the rgb database (using an old rgb databse) XS3 seems to work. Additionally, David Greeman (freeBSD) was successfull in building XS3 and is now running it. His 486dx266 along with his #9 S3 928 has been able to generate the fastest xstones-- greater than 115k xstones. Both David and I have XS3 working at 1280x1024 resolutions. My home systems are running netbsd-0.8.
