You can probably get the functionality you want from by getting hold of the screen-2.1c package from prep.ai.mit.edu and compiling it for 386BSD (I think that it should go with minimal effort but, on the other hand, I haven't tried it). > > 2) How do BSD and Linux compare in general? Having just put a new disk in my PC, I brought 386BSD 0.1 up on the weekend. It is a more complete OS than linux and appears rather more polished. On the other hand it is a lot bigger (partly because there is a lot more to it and partly because 386BSD doesn't support sharable libraries) and system administration is more complex (386BSD is a full- scale BSD UNIX system). I'm going to give 386BSD a whirl for a month or so. Unless I find real problems I don't think that I will be switching back to Linux. Chris Flatters cflatter@nrao.edu
