Sorry to post twice, my last post was garbled:

Hope someone can help here...
I'm running a DECpc 433dxLP, which is a 33mhz 486, 16mb ram, using
NetBSD 0.9, and XFree86 1.3. The X system works well in monochrome,
and I'd like to install a color version. The SVGA driver provided
fails saying No configured graphics devices, and makes no attempt
to enter a graphic mode.

I located XS3.NetBSD on sunvis.rtpnc.epa.gov, which is a NetBSD pure
executable, apparently an S3 version of ~/X386/X. ln'king X to this
file causes a message "no server "X" in PATH, and suggests that I use
XF86_Mono or XF86_SVGA. (The DEC video pages claim its an S3 chipset)

So, what am I doing wrong? Has anyone else gotten the color version
working on this PC? Any suggestions?

Thanks,
wheeler@pipedream.mgh.harvard.edu
